Waffles it is!

So it looks like for the next three years when I visit my parents I will be stuffing my face with waffles...yum! My parents got their call and they are going to be the mission presidents in the Belgium-Netherlands mission and will be living in Brussels, I am so excited for them, and excited to visit. I am not going to lie when I heard that they were going to Belgium and not Africa or Haiti I let out a big sigh of relief, and bonus it is pretty close to London!

Movie Buff

So in the last couple years I have become obsessed with old movies, even though at moments they can be very cheesy, I so much prefer them to many of the more modern films that tend to have  trash thrown in, for what seems like, just for the heck of it.  So if you are up for a fun filled night (trash free!) these are some of my favorites that I have discovered. So grab some popcorn, cuddle up and enjoy!

1. It Happened One Night - 1934 Staring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert (It won 5 Oscars!)
2. An Affair To Remember - 1957 Staring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr (Nominated for 4 Oscars)
3. That Funny Feeling - 1965 Staring Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin
4. How To Steal a Million - 1966 Staring Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole
5. Love In The Afternoon - 1957 Staring Audrey Hepburn and Gary Cooper

Fun new toy!!!

Ok so I really like the look of polaroid pictures, but I have no money to buy the camera or even the film for that matter. I would love to get one someday and try my hand at it, but in the mean time there is a way cool application called Poladroid where you can make your digital pictures that you already have into polaroid like images, I have had so much fun with it here are some of my favorites! If you are like me and have this fettish without funding go check it out!

Hello again!

Ok so I have not updated my blog for a while this is mostly due to the fact that nothing to exciting has happened to me lately. I am in my last semester (well probably) at BYU and I am taking accounting, D&C, an Excel class, and three sewing classes. I am liking it so far but I am super busy!!! Anyway on Friday I received some exciting news my parents have been called to serve as mission presidents for the next three years! we don't know where they are going but se do know that they are going French speaking, and I will definitely be visiting them. now the question is "What will I be doing when i visit them?

will I be stuffing my face with delicious waffles in Belgium?
Will I be 4-wheeling it in Madagascar?
Will I be fishing like this guy in Haiti?
Or chilling with this guy in the jungle of the Dem. Rep. of Congo?
Or chilling on the beach reading a book in the West Indies Mission?

Well only time will tell!!! I am sure where ever they go it will be the right place for them to be, and it will be an amazing experience, although I really wouldn't mind curling up on a beach and reading a book ;)

Ok so I love the Amy Grant song and I do want all of those things sung about in the song... but this list is a bit more worldly and actually more on the lines of the song "Santa Baby" or in other words this is my dream Christmas List, I know the chances of me getting any of it is nil, but hey a girl can dream!!!

Summer To Fall

Now that the leaves are starting to change and the weather is turning I enjoy playing with my summer outfits and giving them a new fall twist by adding pieces like coats and sweaters. Here is a fun summer outfit, that I wish I owned, paired with some fun fall pieces.

P.S. try making one of these collages at polyvore.com  I had a blast doing it!

Design File

OK so I have a habit of blog surfing when I am board or putting off my homework and this is not a new thing but I have actually turned it in to a productive activity! anytime I see a picture I like I save it to my computer and when I have some down time I organize them into different sections, mostly having to do with interiors or fashion so I thought I would share some of my favorites with you. I think I might make this a weekly thing, so here are some of my favorites from my category of bookshelves. Enjoy.

P.S. Unfortunately I never bookmark where I get the images from, so thanks to whoever I got these from!

Hello again

So I know that I haven't posted for a while and there is a very simple explanation... my life is a lot more interesting in the summer. I am back to the same old, same old of working and going to school.  Anyway I will try to spice things up a bit in the near future!

Pick your own in France!

So while my uncle was here visiting my parents my dad and him went on a bike ride and just happened upon this awesome farm that lets you pick all your own produce! So the crew went back a couple of days later and we had at it, it was so fun I think we might have over picked but maybe not, the fruit and veggies were so good I think that they are all gone now. Wow it was a blast I just wish my cute sister-in-law and brother and their kids could have come they would have loved it so much, but unfortutatly their flight left that morning. It was a blast, and bonus  for dinner that night we made the best strawberry and raspberry lemonade, yum! Anyway if anyone will be in france and would like to do this (the farm is about 50 min outside of Paris) let me know and I will let you know how to get there! oh and PS look at the cool way that they plant strawberries so that they are super easy to pick. Oh and Flowers you can pick by the kilo too!

I got a bike!

Hey this is my new bike isn't it great I got it on Tuesday and I love it today I rode it to the Provo farmers market, about 6 miles, ok so the market isn't really that far from my house but I got a little lost on the way there. Yesterday I rode it to seven peaks and then to dinner and to a baseball game, then back home about another 6 miles. So hopefully this purchase will help me cut back on how much I am spending on gas each month, and plus it is a really cute bike. (If you are in the market for a vintage bike I got mine at the painted cupboard in Salt Lake they have 100s of old bikes! They are located at 1597 South 1100 East.)

Upgrade... Major Upgrade!

So I have had the same phone for about 4 years! and after the part that was taped on finally fell off I decided it was time for a new one.  I have been totally obsessed with the Iphone ever since they came out last year and so I decided to splurge and get one and since my Ipod broke about a month ago I thought I would kill two birds with one stone.  Wow I love having the Iphone! I have never even had a camera on my phone, now I have a camera, internet, and lots of other awesome features, and I couldn't be happier!

A Great Birthday Week!

Wow I have had a great birthday week!

On my actual birthday me and some of my friends went out to Happy Sumo and then went and saw Mamma Mia I think that it might be my new favorite movie.

I had a family get together up the canyon and we had yummy homemade cupcakes, I wasn't the only one who enjoyed them!
On the 24th some of us went to the carnival in Spanish fork, it was a blast!

Bonjour Paris!

21 days and counting, then I am off to Paris! I am getting so excited I can hardly wait. To prepare I am brushing up on the little amount of French that I know, reading up on all the cool places I want to visit, and of course watching classic movies like "Funny Face" to get me extra excited!

"I'm strictly (a) tourist, But I couldn't care less. When they parlez-vouz me, then I gotta confess. That's for me: Bonjour, Paris!" - Just a line from one of the songs in Funny Face and from one of my favorite scenes.
